Training Possibilities
Introduction:
A one-day introduction to solution-focus can be
arranged. This allows individuals to learn about
solution-focus before committing to a more intensive training
experience.
Beginning
Training:
I recommend a minimum of three days to learn the
basics. The first 2
days are focused on the philosophical bases of SF, principles,
assumptions and
interventive tools. The third day is focused on second session and
beyond,
practice exercises, applying SF to the participants' contexts, keeping
it brief,
Q&A and discussion. If the group has already had the
introduction, a
2-day training will be sufficient.
Advanced
Trainings: I recommend a two-day
sequential advanced training. It is expected that
participants have
already had a basic training, are using solution-focus and will present
their
own work. The training is oriented toward furthering skills
and the agenda
is built around the participants' stated needs.
Workshops:
I am a frequent presenter at workshops and
full-day presentations. Workshops can range from an
introduction and overview of solution-focused practice to more advanced
practice.
Supervision
Groups: I am willing to travel
to meet with several individuals who are interested in enhancing their
skills.
Individual
Supervision: individual supervision can be
arranged either locally or on-line.
Organizational
Consultation: This is for organizations that are
considering the possibilities of integrating solution-focused concepts
with their supervision and management. I will work with the
organization to explore how solution-focused concepts can enhance the
quality and efficiency of their work. Organizational
consultation is best utilized when used over a series of visits that
include meeting with the management staff, training staff in
solution-focused concepts, learning about the organization through
direct hands-on contact throughout all levels of the organization, and
on-going support.
Additional Information
Trainings
can be arranged at an organization's own site. If there are a
number of individuals in a geographic location who are interested in
training, this can also be arranged. It would be expected
that the training facility and any equipment will be arranged by the
host organization or individual(s). It is recommended that
the minimum number of trainees is 10 and the maximum 20. The
charge for a one-day introduction or workshop is $1,500 plus
expenses Reduced daily fees are arranged for multiple day
trainings. Special arrangements can be made for both
trainings and on-going consultation/supervision.
